i dont thing that move helps habs get any closer to winning, the drop from 13th to 5th is pretty large this year, if Lindstrom is available at 5 adding him without losing caufield is more better for the team than just ending up with Boldy and whatever we get at 13.

Can't see Guerin wanting to move him for Caufield either when his intent seems to be to try to get bigger. Trade doesn't seem to work for either team.

Look at that team size and 200 feet game and you will understand why I think this is really an option.

5th + Caufield vs Boldy + 13th, you guys can get a real good D or another great forward with size. Caufield is a pure goal scorer.

When does this Boldy/Caufield trade occur - draft floor, or prior to the draft? If on the draft floor, who is available at #5 (hypothetically)? Because, depending on who is, I would strongly consider this.

But Boldy might be bigger, but he doesn’t need play big.

Or you can keep Boldy and still draft a good player at 13? The Wild are set at undersized players, they don't need another.

He's flirting with Charlie Coyle status here, though he's at least more consistent in his scoring so it's not as bad.

Minnesota isn't trading Boldy and or1st round pick in addition for Caufield who needs to be signed long term and is a smaller player. Sorry, but wild will keep Boldy and will not move him to move up 9 spots,

Assuming this pick wouldn’t be available if Demidov and/or Lindstrom were available…I would strongly consider this deal for Silayev, Buium, Dickenson, Yakemchuk, or Sennecke…but definitely for Silayev or Buium.

Caufield is already signed long-term.

I think this trade makes a lot of sense if Rossi is moved in a subsequent trade and replaced with size.

didn't know that, but still rather not move Boldy whose contract and production is better than him. Also, Caufield gets injured and muscled on Ice because he's small. Just look at what Rossi did to him on Ice last year and Rossi had to fight another Montreal player.

Like I said above, I like this deal better if Rossi is traded in a subsequent deal for a bigger player or to draft a bigger player.
