I think it’s close…and NJ is probably looking for more immediate help than drafting an 18 y/o…or at least that was my thinking behind this.

I know he's had some injuries but why are you so hellbent on trading Brodin who has another year with a NMC? That's also a terrible deal for Wild.

Injuries and relative ineffectiveness in the playoffs….plus, he’s over 30 and I would always be open to trade anyone over 30. Oleksiak is acquired here as a stop gap until Carson Lambos, or a player they draft here is ready to take over and be Faber’s long-term partner.

Both Brodin and Olesiak have NMC's. Part of wild have struggled in played or struggled like last year, I truly believe Bill Guerin and or the training staff puts pressure on player's to rush back. I don't see either player's waiving. There's a reason wild player's coming back from injuries come back only to miss time again for injuries. I started blaming Guerin and training staff last year on these.

Guerin is a buffoon…and so is his boss, idiot owner, Craig Leipold!

Last year to me revealed a lot about Guerin indirectly and directly. Where I disagree with you about Leipold is a lot of billionaires in other sports don't always be willing to spend money, so you have to give him that at least. I truly believe there's a reason wild players come back from injuries and get injured again. It's either pressure from Guerin, training staff or something to do with NHL Culture; and or both.
