Probably just outside the playoff window.

Description
Not a lot needs to be done in Arizona right now in my opinion. They have made a huge splash in the "offseason" by getting Hjalmarsson, Raanta, and Stepan in deals where the gave up Murphy, Dauphin, the 7th overall pick in the draft (Lias Anderson), and a defensive prospect in Anthony Deangelo. The Coyotes are preparing to be a good team and they will be very soon as long as they are paitient and follow the process. I'm not gonna make any deals as of right now, but Arizona could shop around Gologoski (see if he waives his NMC, granted it is a modified NTC). Salary would obvisously have to be retained which could hurt them long term. But it's better then carrying the whole contract for 4 more years. They could also see if there are any takers for Jaime McGinn, as they could probably get a mid round pick for him at the Trade Deadline. I didn't sign Duclair to a long term deal because I feel he hasn't proved he can be consistent yet. So a 2 year $6 million dollar contract sounds fair.

I don't see why you would sign Duclair for 3M per. Apart from that one good season, he's hardly worth 1M per in recent memory.

Good luck to your Yotes!

Not my Yotes. I'm a hawks fan. ? Also, Yotes need to reach cap floor.

I wouldn't sign Duclair to that big of a contract, regardless of needing to reach the cap floor or not. Domi will want more than that for sure when he is due for his new contract. I say sign Jagr to a $4 mil contract and be done.

Duclair's more likely to be in the $1.5M range on a one or two year, IMO.
It's a very young and unproven team with a lot of question marks and a new coaching staff. They've got some interesting depth players as well, so it should be a hungry team.
OTOH, the GM has hinted that he is trying to pull off one more trade. He's certainly left himself the flexibility to take on some cap, if it's worthwhile. They've got a surplus of left-handed wingers.
If they go with the young roster above, and they're playing meaningful games in March, I'll consider it a successful season for the team.

Just don't place Bolland on LTIR and you're set.
