Devils would more likely move #10 if there were a player involved. A handful of picks is nice if we had deals ready where we could move them for missing pieces (LHD, 4C, goalie, etc).

Ya I was kinda lazy with that one. I do think they will add some veteran d to play in the ahl but you’re right it won’t be him.

Hawks probably don't have a LHD available a contender wants. Ethan Del Mastro, Kaiser, Phillips, and Allen are very good to good LHD prospects, but have some NHL growing pains to work through and not playoff contender plug and play. Mrazek with retention makes sense as a chip for the Devils (still think you would want to address G with a 1A option and have Mrazek be the 1B). Donato would be a good 4th liner on a playoff team and can play C.

Would a counter of Mrazek (50% retained) 2.125X2 years + Donato + #18 + 67 for #10 be more interesting? I know that is less of an overpay in value than the orginal proposal (which I don't think is realistic for the Hawks to give up). I would value Mrazek with that retension in the neighborrhood of #34 and Donato as a mid to late 3rd.
