Not sure on trade value. Karlsson is still a good player but Vegas will need to shed salary somewhere. Would help stabilize Blackhawks top 6 and may be worth the draft capital to help younger players develop.

Hawks probably accept the EDM deal if they strike out elsewhere on a RD.

It's going to take more than a 2nd to move Lee.

Hawks aren't paying for Smith.

Can't see them going after Karlsson when he still has 3 years left on a deal, plus if Vegas needs to move cap, they can pay for it.

I don’t see Anders Lee moving to be honest although I do think it would be a good move for NYI. I think they are more likely to move out a guy like Pageau or maybe Palmieri despite his pretty good season. Go hawks!

Lee probably takes more than a single 2nd to move to Chicago. If Smith costs a 4th, pass. Hawks can sign a UFA and hang on to that pick. If Vegas is shedding cap, it's likely on their blue line. I doubt they'd trade Karlsson for a 2nd anyway. And I'm not a fan of the term (3 years) left on that contract.

Idk if CHI would be interested in Wild Bill. His behavior at the cup rally last year was questionable. Might be something KD would want to inquire about before making a trade like that. CHI has too much controversy as it is, without adding an embarrassing sloppy drunk to the team. That could end up being another Perry situation waiting to happen. But, I'm open to the possibility that he was just regular-drunk and exhausted and it was no big deal, and if so, I wouldn't mind bringing a player like him in. Same with Smith. Both are experienced veterans who know what it takes to win in the NHL. That could be invaluable to the rebuild and the development of CHI's young prospects.

Probably not enough to take Lee, though. I don't like Ceci as a target either, I think we can do better. I'd also bet most of the waiver exempt players spend a lot of time in Rockford, including Korchinski. But, we'll see what happens. Not too shabby. Good job!

I don't mind bringing in Smith, but I'm not paying for him. He doesn't do anything that couldn't be found on the UFA market.

For sure. I just mean the idea of bringing those guys in, not necessarily the price. Cup winning experience can be invaluable to young players.

Karlsson was the right amount of drunk for having just won the cup. I highly doubt anyone cares that he got wasted on one if the best days of his life.

Agreed. People loved Crow for his drunken antics during Chicago's parade.

You're probably right about the term being a concern, but the Blackhawks will need to over pay if we go into the FA market. It's the third year that could be a problem. Agree there. I just feel his all around game will benefit the Hawks more than others.

They probably aren't signing any long term UFAs this offseason so the overpay doesn't really matter.

I generally agree with the opinions already shared, I would add however, that I wouldn’t trade Raddysh for Ceci.

Raddysh had a horrible year production wise but expanded his usefulness in other areas, he could still serve as a 4th liner with some offensive touch that can be moved up the lineup when needed. Cost wise he should be very affordable.

Ceci is at best an overpaid third pair RHD, equivalent can be found for cheaper in FA. If the Oilers are willing to send a 2nd round pick with Ceci then that is a game changer and I would pull the trigger.

Maybe. I recall it getting a little ramble-y and... controversial, maybe... But I would have to go back and watch again. It was probably fine, though.
