I don’t think Buf will flip Bryam so soon but that’s a nice trade (if we can move Skinner’s cap hit)

laugh Stamkos would be seeking at least $9,000,000 to sign in high tax Vancouver. $6,000,000 isn't getting it done.

I’ve always liked petterson. I would overpay by using another prospect or upgrade Byram to power but that’s just me

You need the vancouver pick for the offer sheet, so minimum price is 2nd.

The Sabres would likely have to move one of the other centers, probably cozens. That would be used to fill other holes and free up cap. I like this exercise because it shows what's possible if you don't get hung up on names.

Don't think VAN would consider that trade, but it's a conversation starter if they value Byram highly. Given the team's trajectory I think a Cozens/Byram package would be more to their liking, but I highly doubt they're considering trading EP anyway. Hard to replace guys like that.

If for some reason Vancouver was going to trade Pettersson, Carolina would revisit the trade from the deadline and try to work that out. Not trade those pieces for Hronek and Mikheyev.
