I don’t want Laughton. His analytics are abysmal

Laughton is worth at best a 2nd rounder, this not even close to value for chych

I wouldn’t trade anything for Laughton. His analytics resemble Kubalik and Hamonic

I'm curious as to what a lot of sens fan think the value for Chych is with one year left on his deal.

This return is quite close to the return I have up there IMO but hey... Laughton at 3M for 2 year vs Iafallo at 4M for one year? What's the difference really?

and sure if you want to swap the 3rd and 6th for a second. The definition of splitting hairs.

Career high 25 points when he signed his last contract.

What do you think is a fair number for him in UFA this year? It doesn't start with a 3

Staios would be fired on the spot for such a crap offer. a 4M 4th liner and 2nd for a top 4 dman...

He's one of the most atrocious defensive players in the league. Puts up decent point totals, but doesn't really score a lot, and isn't a driver of any offense. Grit and toughness are nice, but it can't be the only thing you bring to the table. He's really not very good, and trading a top 4 dman like Chychrun for him would be a disaster.

"He's one of the most atrocious defensive players in the league" are you talking about Laughton or Chychrun?. Because Chychrun was on the ice for more goals against than any other player in the NHL. And he never played against the other team's top lines

depends on the Gm don't it, Dorion would have gotten a massively better return for Cat he had kept him the final year of his RFA and traded him at the deadline with double retention (2.25M 40 goal scored as a rental would have netter a haul for OTT).

1 year don't make a player, OTT should get more for chych than CGY got for Hanafin as a rental, much more in a summer trade as a extension would be negotiated before the trade, chych still had 41 points playing musical chairs between RD and LD all year. +/- is a meaningless stats

so a 1st, a depth defenseman and a 3rd round pick is the return you think they will get for Chychrun? As a sens fan I hope so... but I doubt it.

i mean its probably somewhere in the 3-4 range. Hes not exactly young and his career high in points is still only 34

I would call 3.5M for Martinook very good value in UFA for a 1-2 year term.

Have to agree with some of the others not a huge fan of Laughton or this deal as is.

If TK wants out then best case scenario Ottawa tries to parlay Chych or assets from a Chych deal into a swap.

If it’s straight picks then I think a mid 1st or a late 1st plus a B prospect or another pick.

I think the Laughton hate is a bit unwarranted, but I’d rub some sandpaper on my a** if it meant the flyers could pull off this deal!
