laugh Carolina isn't trading Necas and taking on closer to $10,000,000 in cap,The whole reason they're trading him. is because they can't afford to give Jarvis and Necas big money plus try to re-sign Jake Guentzel as well and other pending RFAs and UFAs.

If Buch accepts a reasonable extension and we can find a place for Andersen, this would be doable.

Blues could probably take Andersen in that deal as well instead of signing Stolarz

Don't understand the point of signing Robertson to an offer sheet. Just offer a second at most for his signing rights then sign him for a year or two around 1-1.5.

why would the leafs accept that? they have all the leverage, they'd want a first bc of the discount

Robertson isn't even worth a second IMO. Too small and injury prone. Don't even want him on the Blues but if we are trying to offer sheet, no point in overpaying like this

I agree that the canes wouldn’t have any interest in binner atm
Also I think you mean Necas has more value but he’s certainly not the better player

You're right, it's actually about 3 metrics, and the most important three in xGF/60, xGA/60, and xG%. Not to mention, Necas is 5 years younger, and comes with team control where Buchnevich is a rental. There's not a single reason why Buch should be worth more than Necas.

Necas destroys Buch analytically, he's 5 years younger and comes with team control. He's HANDS DOWN the more valuable player here.

Only thing Necas “destroys” is his teams playoff success
