Not enough value for Necas.
Not improving the defense will have similar outcomes for Ullmark.

Carolina passes.

Detroit isn't trading picks for a cheap buyout on Holl.

Boston passes, not even close for what Ullmark will get in a trade.

Raymond and Seider aren't getting the exact same contract, Seider will get at least $1,000,000 more than Raymond. And it sounds like Perron is 100% gone.

I hope you're wrong about Perron I like him a lot more than most of the guys linked to Detroit in ACGMs and predictions from sports writers.

I agree with you on all of these except maybe Raymond comes in a little closer than a full mill away from seider, but you're probably right that seider makes more.

What threw me off here is Perron being gone. From everything I've heard Perron doesn't want to go anywhere else and I think management wants to keep him. Where'd you hear he was gone?

I think Seider gets the 8 x $8,700,000 Larkin deal and Raymond gets 7-8 years @ $8,000,000.

I've been seeing some now that are linking Perron to either Montreal or Toronto. I could see Toronto but definitely not Montreal.

I agree, I think Stevie set an internal cap with the Larkin deal and I can't see anybody on the team getting more than that other than Seider but I think Seider ultimately falls at the same number. I could see Raymond getting maybe $8.5 but not more than Larkin and definitely not more than Seider. That's the max anyways but I definitely agree with you there.

For Perron, I did see Toronto had interest and obviously Perron is from Quebec so Montreal could be a landing spot but I think the likeliest scenario is he stays. I think he'll even take a team friendly. I'd loooove to see him play on a line with Mazur, he'd be such a good mentor for him.

My guess is it would take a prospect like William Wallinder or Shai Buium instead of Johansson with this package

I totally agree, And I'm not sure Yzerman would do that for a 30 year old Goaltender who's going to want at least 7 x $6,500,000 on his next deal.

Where did you hear Perron is gone? Not doubting it, I just really hope that's true lol.

My perspective is Detroit needs an upgrade to be a realistic contender. Both of these guys won’t get an opportunity to be legitimate starters for Detroit with their current defense options

I keep hearing that Detroit is heavily pursuing Ullmark, Sounds likeYzerman really wants him. As will some other teams. just bepends if Ullmark is willing to waive and if Yzerman is willing to outbid other teams for his service.

Just from what I've been reading in the rumor mills, There's been some rumors of him to Montreal, Toronto and possibly Minnesota. But he and his family love it in Detroit and Yzerman wants to keep him. he should be a cheap signing and one would think that Yzerman would've at least had him re-signed by now.

I’d anticipate that Detroit is NOT on Ullmark’s list of no trade candidates. Easy flights into Stockholm and a young team with growth potential. With the emergence of a young D man, I could easily see Detroit taking the next step with an Ullmark and making a decision next year on what’s next.

I like the concept of Wallinder or Buium and a 2nd for Linus. The concept of trading him within the division is a little bothersome. Might ask for my fourth back next year if it is Buium.

I’d be open to take Chiarot if you made him a 2.5M per year defenseman, but aware that might complicate it and Boston can just go for a vet like Edmundson or Dillon in free agency.
