Kakko is pretty much a bust, Sorry Trouba isn't waiving this year unless his Dr Wife goes elsewhere.

What did they put in the water supply up there? This is an awful offer... for taking on Trouba you would need to offer one hell of a sweetener

Trouba isn’t waiving and the Canes aren’t trading Necas for Kakko. They want either a player on the same level as him or a high end prospect. Doubt New York deals any of their top 6 players especially to Carolina so I just don’t think there’s a deal to be made between these two for Necas.

He's not a cap dump at $4M bud.

Trouba has a M-NTC, CAR is likely a team he would be able to go to. How would you adjust the deal?

First off, I think Necas is probably gonna get closer to 7m per.

Kakko has the value of a 3rd round pick right now. Theres also no reason for the Canes to take on Trouba even at half off, they got enough of their own players to need to resign.

The best option for Trouba is 2m retained to Detroit. Its probably one of the few teams he would go to since its home for him and his wife.

To fill the RW slot, Id probably go for Toffoli. Hes the type of player made for playoff hockey.

So, He's also team Captain, And the way he's playing in the playoffs. I hardly doubt Chris Drury is moving him this year. next year might be a different animal though.

He is at least to Carolina... Given Carolina's blue line next year (Burns,Morrow, and most likely Chatfield) , he wouldn't be playing and taking on a scratch that makes $4m would require a sweetener

Yeah sorry Necas isn't signing for no $6,000,000 in New York City. I seriously doubt he's touching anything less than $7,000,000 or $7,500,000 per for 8 years.

Why are you running Captain Elbow out of town?

How is he playing in the playoffs? His metrics arent good. Hes ridiculously slow. This team is on the verge of blowing another playoff run, 3 years in a row, with him as captain.

Its not that we dont like him, however 8m is too much for him and it can be used better.

Rangers would need to overpay to get Necas. No real reason to trade Necas to the strongest team in your division unless he wants to pull a Fox and demand to go there.

I can’t see these teams dealing with each other right now in general. Trouba half off is palatable but I just don’t think he’s that good and would much rather bring pesce back at 5.5m than bring Trouba in (or find somebody in FA).

Both teams pass. Necas might find a sucker to overpay him, but it's obviously not us. Our 26 cap says no thanks
