Sharks draft and offseason

Created by: FelHab09

Initial Creation Date: May 31, 2024

Description
I believe the Sharks will try to take advantage of at least one negative value contract. If Couture is healthy, Mikheyev (LW) could be targeted. If Couture has a setback, Pageau would be a decent option. Otherwise, I think the Sharks will sign a couple of veterans to shorter deals, but won't make any big move in the offseason.
Concerning the draft, as much as I would like the Sharks to trade up to get a top-end defenseman, they will probably keep their #14 pick. They should not reach for a defenseman, but take the BPA; one of Brandsegg-Nygard, Sennecke, Eiserman or Helenius will be available. The Sharks should then spend their two second rounders to draft RHD (Emery and Mews most likely gone, they might target Badinka, Elick and/or Brunicke). They could also grab a LHD in Freij, Sahlin Wallenius or Muggli

33. Elick (RD)

I would ask for a 2nd for taking on Pageau (Vancouver pick so we can grab Carter George G would be nice)
Agree on the draft thoughts. Think Elick goes way earlier honestly though.
I am targeting Badinka RD and Pulkkinen LD in the 2nd round! Love that size and both skate well and have some offensive upside but likely would be more defensive if they make the NHL

Solid takes. I’d take Pageau for a 2nd and maybe adjust contracts a bit like Demelo more $ or term

I love your draft picks.

Oh, wait a minute . . . I'm not just one but two rivals . . . I hate your draft picks.
