Carolina doesnt do that; but Rasmussen is an intriguing target, not sure what the price would be though

No reason to do the Ras trade from Detroit perspective. Not for future picks and a player you want to dump, who costs more than Rasmussen.
The value to dump Mikheyev is probably around a 2nd rounder which means you have Ras for a third. Just really not worth it unless it's an overpay. We can take Mikheyev but you have to overpay for Ras to make us want to move him. If we do trade him, it's likely to upgrade the team. A deal for Necas or similar.

I'm not sure if that works for the Jackets; the idea behind Boqvist being available is that we're trying to clear the logjam of middle-pair-and-below blueliners, not do a swap.

Necas to VAN makes sense and value wise Hronek and him are fairly similar imo. Morrow isn’t getting involved unless you guys overpay though and this isn’t close.

RD is a question mark for the next couple of years and morrow is likely to play a very big role if he can handle it.
