Easy no from Detroit. Kampf is a cap dump at this point. Robertson and Veleno are pretty much even, but since Veleno is a center.

Debrincat, Raymond, Burgers are all small wingers. Adding Robertson is redundant. Veleno can definitely be attained, but not for him and Kampf.

Robertson is 2 years younger than Veleno and had one less point. He is also projected to sign at around $1.5 for 3-yrs. Kamph (29) is the kind of Defensive C that coaches love, He is locked in at $2.4 for the next 3 years.

Detroit is rebuilding with youth and filling in the voids with skilled Veterans to help mentor those youth. Veleno, while capable of playing C. Is mostly used at LW by Detroit. Priority will be to resign Raymond (5 to 8 yrs at between $6.6 to $8.8) and Seider (5 to 7 yrs at between $7 to $8). I think they would prefer to be able to resign Sprong again as well.

This trade will allow them to get a younger LW with better projected scoring upside, AND a reliable C that can play in all situations, on the cheap. Roberston is easily worth Veleno and Kamph is easily worth a 4th. This is a nobrainier YES, all day long, for Detroit.

The size issue means next to nothing. You also under value Kamph. He is the kind of responsible center coaches love. He is also good at the faceoff

LMAO Kamph is much more valuable than a 4th. I think you need to get a much better understanding of the value coaches put on defence and faceoffs.

You’re incorrect about the size issue, as it was evident that was an issue last season when Detroit was all but eliminated by Ottawa in embarrassing fashion.

I’m also not undervaluing Kampf. You don’t need to act like a salesman for him, everyone on this site has seen the pitch and heard a different version of who/what he is and how TOR fans believe GMs see him. Bottom line is that if he was that effective for his contract/role, it would be a mistake for the Leafs to let him go.
