Description
This is a copycat league and looking at the panther after last night they have a crazy puck heavy forechecking system that their top players do. For the rangers they have mutiple players that do this including, Vinny, Laf, Mika, Kreids, Culls, Vesey, Schids, Milla, Fox, and Jones. (could agure jonny or rempe but still)

Bread is one of those whom I love but hate as he is great but can't be legendary if playing like he does in the playoffs. I would keep him and he is a key to winning but players like Lindy, Trouba, Kappo, Goodie, and the FA and trade dealine are all gone IMO. All can walk or be traded for way better players/picks.

Kiefer Sherwood - $2.0 mil
I find KS #44 game really great for playoffs but also 5x5 he is crazy good into getting into the o-zone and has incredible forecheck while also posing a threat in the d-zone having the ability to move the puck out and relentless. I find him a better Kappo that will use his body more and is less injury prone.

Yakov Trenin - $1.78 mil
Yakov is another great player who is built for the playoffs and again forecheck I love he also has a wicked shot. I like the cheap deal due to the 18 points only in 86 games so I feel that is worth it. I would play him center on the 4th or 3rd LW depending.

Jonathan Drouin - $3.5 mil
Fore check and prove this year that if on a line with great players he will help boost them and so will he become great. 5x5 he is crazy good and PK killaaaa. Now you might say 3.5 x 3 is low well look its one great 60 point season (59*) but the season prior ehhhhhh not great i find a medium peace in 3.5 and is your 2nd line RW behind laf.

^
Now if this does not happen have otter or brett to come up or trade for travis k on philly during the trade dealline. or sign Gabe to ELC and let him tear it up along the 2nd line (need to give highend prospects top line mins next to good players, ex. laf, chytil, miller, schider

Shea Theodore - Trade
I find Shea one of the best D-men in the league reminds me of a Mac Truck vibe. This also gives NY another top def-men so Fox does not have to carry the whole team. Ofc i love lindy but he isn't going to win us a cup. Yes i would look to trade Trobs but it's matter of where and when.

Trouba / Kappo - Trade to TOR
Leafs need defense and a Right Handed D is for sure calling them in Trouba yes he has not been good but I believe he has been injuried the past months and I understand trading your captain isn't ideal but he really has not done much for NY I do understand that us(fans) don't see what happens in the locker room so maybe he is different but I think giving them kappo and retaining Trouba Cap isn't that bad. This is the fact they trade away Marner to NSH for Saros. Along I think Kappo will do well under Craig Berube system.

No chance Schneider is getting that little.

I want nothing to do with Drouin, his success is solely tied to the fact that the Avs are essentially an all star team.

This playoff series was proof guys like Jones will struggle with the size of players now a days.

Read my intro about Drouin and undestand the size issue but that wasn't really what i viewed the struggle. Fox, Stankoven, and Vinny all which are 5'10 and shorter are great examples of why size isn't the struggle they have production pretty well (fox is injury understand but still) yes a few 6'3 skaters would gladly help but having the ability forecheck and move the puck rather than just I'm big and hit so I am good. Having the chance where Jones whom is proven to move the puck but also skate very well into the O-zone is something that is needed than lets throw the puck up. Of course this is why I love shea theo brings all that plus size. Now Schides takes a cheap deal maybe you give hime 2.2 x 2 but I don't see long term and more than 3 mil. D

Stopped reading after the sentence that said 93 and 20 forecheck. What a joke.

Have to pay for your cap dumps. It'd cost atleast a 2nd to dump goodrow. "Playoff worth" means nothing to a rebuilding team

In a cap dump trade, the team that's moving the contract OFF their roster pays to do that. The Hawks are definitely not paying anything for Goodrow and his "playoff worth" really isn't relevant to the Hawks either.

But the Hawks would definitely have interest in that Kakko/Trouba trade. Hawks would probably pay a 4th for that.

No I see him getting a bridge deal for exactly 3 mil.

This is how I like the team: https://www.capfriendly.com/forums/thread/844555

Now you still have the option to move Holl in a secondary trade, and trade Lindgren for Theodore. The only issue with Theodore is his contract is up the same year LAF and Shesty's contracts are up. That can turn into a very very difficult cap situation to navigate.
