The 1st and Necas is a good starting point, Kotkaniemi is a cap dump who is going to be bought out

Canes aren't planning to buy out KK, according to Friedman. They're either keeping him or trading him.

Leafs likely say no. They'd be paying more or less (depending on if Necas signs bridge/long-term) the same amount AAV for likely less production.

KK just isnt valuable enough to any team in a bad cap situation to be included.

Even with taking on KK's contract that's an overpay for 1 year of soft overpaid Marner.

Marner’s agent poured cold water on him getting moved. But if he were - I don’t see why the Leafs would want wingers with term back (Necas would need to be signed to term); they’d need the cap space to address #1 priority which is D corps.

Why not just extend Guentzel at a lower cap hit and move Necas to address something else?

Nobody is paying a 4th for UFA rights. CAR should just resign Guentzel anyway.
