not sure if ud get 1st back but honestly probably the most realistic deal for Saros with marner ive seen from a leafs fan. Lindholm will get a lot more then 6.75 and even if he only got that theres about 3-4 teams with that cap space i think he would go to over the leafs. I also think maybe getting an older depth D man who can maybe run the PP and can switch in and out of the lineup. I think lilj deserves a shot and has played pretty well for u guys, If not as a bos fan id love to get him off ur hands for our D depth .
My thought with this construction is that Montour runs PP1 and Rielly's on for PP2
With Liljegren, I know I've got him as a scratch here but I like internal competition and it's a long grueling season....I'd like for a pretty regular rotation in and out of the lineup. Anyone struggling or banged up, no worries, relax for a game or 2 and get yourself right. Don't worry about your job, it's still yours, it's a team concept, everyone gets plenty of time and hopefully everyone can stay relatively fresh.
It's the same kind of idea with Saros/Woll. I've never really doubted Woll's ability, but it's very fair to question his durability. The plan here would be to lighten Saros workload from how it's been to hopefully keep him at the top of his game and also, hopefully, keep Woll healthy. Not as strict a platoon as the Boston arrangement, but maybe a 50/30ish kind of split. I don't get to see a ton of Nashville games, so it's just speculation on my part, but I wonder how much cheating for offence they did and just hope Saros bails them out.
I thought Lindholm would command more too....I'm just going off something I saw from Frank Seravalli
