Good contract, but.....you've gotta wonder if they're giving up something here. 3 years from now, Granlund will be a 28yr old top six center who can be a UFA....the line will be out the door.

I definitely think now was the time to get him locked up long-term. He might be costly in those three years.

It'll ne cheap for the next three, but he could walk at the end. If I'm Minnesota I would've paid more to lock him up at least 6 years.

I think they would have if they knew they could move that Parise deal. I thought Garlund was going to get 6 Mil for 6 or 7 years.

They've already thrown in the towel on him being a top 6 center. He played RW on Koivu's line all of last season.

Its good money but a long term contract would be alot better. Gives us a 3 year window for the cup before he is gone
