I did the retention because the guy I’m arguing with said the rangers would never retain and I wanted to see that it still works

Lmao you’re acting like Holl is better than Trouba. Rangers can add a late round pick

Either way the math works and proves you wrong

We need the retention and Detroit takes this. We can't take his full cap hit. More retention would be better but got just taking Holl is good.

I'd rather keep Trouba than retain on Trouba and only get Holl back. Just retain $2M and get back a pick and that point. Holl is useless.

The retention works because it’s Trouba’s final year. As for Holl, i don’t know if rangers would keep him, trade him or buy him out

Trouba to Detroit just makes too much sense next year

I mean if DET can dump Holl and take Trouba that works. Or rangers flip Holl else where. I was too lazy for that part

Red Wings need some snarl.

Trouba is good for that.

Detroit needs to stop being so easy to play against.

Even though Trouba isn't what he was, I think he can help Detroit for the next 2 years.

You think the contracts for KAM, Laffy and Igor are reasonable?

Rangers will rely heavily on ELCs during the 2025-26 season

Well last I heard Shesty wants 12 mil. 😲

I can't really argue it what with the way he played against Florida.

Price for D in their prime is always increasing.

Might be a mil too high on KAM?

Laffy looks like he's really coming into his own.

Again maybe a mil too high.

But I'm not a Rangers fan.

I didn't know the team nearly as well as you guys do.

Yea I think Igor is just setting the bar high and probably comes down and still beats Bob and Price’s AAV

And sounds good. Just wondering and if they do come in cheaper, then it’s more cap space for the rangers which is good

I know Rangers fans are angry right now but the team is still one of the best teams in the NHL.

You lost to the eventual Cup champion (in my opinion) and there's certainly no shame in that.

Florida is just a juggernaut right now.

Rangers will once again be Cup contenders next season.

I’m not angry with the loss because Florida is good. I am angry because it didn’t look like the Rangers played with any effort and didn’t make any adjustments

They kept getting pinned in their own zone, flipping the puck out, changing lines, playing defense and start the cycle over

I picked Florida to win the Cup before the playoffs started because I didn't see any team capable of matching up against them with their combination of skill, size, physicality, F and D depth, goaltending, playoff experience and coaching.

They give opponents no room to breathe with their aggressive forecheck.

They wear opponents down each game and by the time game 5 comes they're sucking on fumes like the Rangers were.

Shesty made it a series but it was clear Florida was the better team.

I don't question the Rangers effort level.

They were just beaten down physically.

Until a team plays Florida in a playoff series they don't know what's coming.

Oilers will soon find that out.
