There’s no chance the difference between Zegras and Reichel is only a 2nd rounder

Easy pass for the Ducks

First 99 games, Zegras : 26 goals, 48 assists = 74 points, -15, turned 21 in second season
First 99 games, Reichel : 12 goals, 20 assists = 32 points, -45, just turned 22 after first full season

Reichel just recorded 16 points in 65 games; despite his injury-derailed season, Zegras scored 15 points in 31 games

You think that the difference between them is pick #34?

No I do not, I think it’s much much more than pick #34

Hawks wouldn’t pay that much to get Jeannot & the Ducks wouldn’t give up Zegras for that little. They like Donato & even though that is a really good price for him, they probably don’t pull the trigger.

Also, it defeats the purpose of drafting players if you are just going to fill up your lineup with free agents from other teams. Prospects need ice time to develop.

Seems like a lot of effort by the OP just to post an unrealistic trade for Jeannot. Hawks decline the Tampa Bay trade, Ducks and Pens decline the other two. Hawks aren't signing Guentzel, Dillon, Amadio or Jost as UFA's.

Then neither is Zegras to Chicago. You guys should really consider that though, he's only a couple years older than Bedard, he's got the skill you'd hope to find at 2, etc.

I'm perfectly fine w/o Zegras in Chicago. Just my opinion, but whether it's Demidov or Levshunov at #2OA, either turns out to be a better player than Zegras.

They also could be busts. As they say, one in the hand is worth two in the bush. Z is a known quantity at the NHL level.

Sorry, but your not going to convince me. As a GM, I'll take that risk that neither is a bust. I'm in that group that thinks Zegras is overrated. Very talented offensive player for sure. But not a fan of the rest of his game.
