I have Kakko for a fourth rounder (a second rounder if the Canes throw an offer sheet at him) which on its face suggests I would take this in a heartbeat. That said, the draft pick is the "shiny object. The offensive productivity of both is a wash. Kappo get the edge because he is stronger on the puck, and he has more upside potential (never thought I'd say that about Kappo). I can easily support your view, but for some reason that I can't explain, this one just doesn't feel right to me.

Remove Torp and Jarnkrok (add someone else) and it's closer

Blues FO loves Torp here and probably wouldn't part for less than a late first, high second (not saying that's proper value, but just no real need or want to move without an overpay)

Jarnkrok isn't of much interest with that contract and no real need for another bottom 6 guy (we have plenty already)
