He is blocked out of NHL options in Tampa, but you have to wonder about injury fill-in time over the next two years and it's a two-year, two-way contract giving the Lightning some flexibility but still competition for that spot with Lilleberg already ahead of him and Pylenkov coming over soon (?). Wonder about Haydn Fleury leaving in free agency

Syracuse's team MVP this season, played 1 game for TB this year and looked solid. Have kept tabs on him since college, solid player, hopeful he can be a regular soon but Tampa loves bringing in veteran D. Hopefully he gets his shot sooner than later.
