We'll take Foerster, not Farabee, especially since that second will be in 2025, not this year.

Realistically the team wouldn't do it bc they're obsessed with Foerster for some reason but I wouldn't mind. Foerster 2025 2nd 2025 1st for zegras

Flames might consider that although with Kylington & Poirier, they may not. Sanheim would be a good Hanifin replacement and he’s already familiar with CGY at least. I’m hoping for a Bigger & Meaner Guy though tbh

From Sabres POV, they take that deal and run - providing they'd get assurances from Konecny's camp of an extension and it's not in the absurd $10M x 8 range that's being rumored as his asking price.

Which would mean the Sabres would have to have a game plan of how to shed Skinner's contract from the books by 2025-26 in order to fit in Konecny's extension in its place and still allow for the expected raises that Quinn and Peterka will get.

And either younger or with less term. Calgary really doesn't need more players signed to long term contracts that run into the player's mid thirties.

Agreed I’d prefer the contract end by 32-33 at most and Sanheim’s doesn’t expire till he’s 34

I think Sanheim is awesome. I was hoping the Flames could buy low over the last offseason, so I would be all over it.

Have to think Laughton and 32nd overall can get beaten by multiple teams

“For some reason” idk maybe because he’s been a sniper with a rocket of a shot his whole career who this year just decided he was going to put up some of the best defensive forward metrics in the league????

Like you do realize he was a top defensive forward in the league this year and on top of his offensive game being decent for a rookie. When the kid finds his offensive game in the league he’s going to be ridiculously good lol
