Our defense looks soft as butter, you trade Samuelsson and take Clifton out of the lineup. We need more physical players on the roster, not less. Dahlin can't play in all three pairs at once, he's the only one on this defense who plays a tough game.

You’re not taking Andersson’s valuable contract in to consideration. Without a Top-5 Pick, Cozens or Byram (with conditions) being a part of the Trade it’s a no. Would have to be an over pay to consider moving Andersson yet

I agree 100%. Nows the time to make these points, when the playoffs are going on. After 13 years of no playoffs, it's good to remind people that a roster with just skill players doesn't work long term.

Personally, that's a deal I make as a Flames fan.

It's great value.

Not really. It’s 11th Overall in a weaker draft year a very small Centre and a Physical LD we don’t need

I’m not giving up a sure thing 1RD for a pick + players with average potential

Absolutely, we need at least 3, preferably 4 defensemen in the lineup who play that game. We need to upgrade our bottom 6 with some of those guys. Especially since Lindy loves those guys, we can't put kids in the lineup again and expect them to play that style when they don't even know how to play and don't have that type of game. If one of Kulich or Savoie gets in the lineup, it's going to be over Skinner, not over Greenway, who plays a tough game and is decent at defense.

Great points. I don't know if it's because people are in rotisserie leagues, or if they just stat watch, but it takes more than just sending a bunch of offensive players over the boards. Was just driving my son to karate and a guy from sportsnet was on 550- he was saying that florida is deeper than Edmonton, but it's how they use their depth to lean on you and make you uncomfortable. Ironically the panthers have 5 former Sabres (Reinhart, montour, kulikov, rodrigues, and okposo) and NONE of the former Sabres are contributing to this leaning on other teams stuff. We haven't had that in forever. Vegas did the same last year, reasonably the Rangers are built that way too.

jokiharju just isn't good, definitely could see him getting that contract bc he has played a lot of minutes (even tho he's a big part of the Sabres D problems). Vgk says no, most ppl don't understand how good karlsson is. Flames say no, samuelsson doesn't have much of a ceiling and it is certainly not a good contract for a bottom half defender
