Decent amount of turnover

Description
Marchessault is ideal. I’d pay him pretty much whatever he asks for, 3 years might be short a year.

Detroit doing that?

LA doing that?

I like Kylington. Not alot of miles on him, good skater and still young. Prove it deal

The Kings can't afford Kakko's QO. They don't have any use for Garand, as they already have two young goaltenders competing for playing time in Ontario (Portillo and Ingham). They also like to run with a veteran goaltender in the AHL (First Rittich and then Dell last season) in case they need to call someone up to cover for injuries.

Both Englund and Kaliyev are potentially available, but I can't see the Kings making that deal.

Ok, good post!!

Englund would be a nice Trouba replacement. I wanted Kaliyev for awhile. I think he’d blossom out of the Kings org

Why are you dumping the rangers best goalie prospect lol

And congrats you left $23m to extend Igor, KAM, Laffy, Cuylle and whatever else roster spots needed

That's probably true about Kaliyev. The Kings will likely move him in exchange for another project prospect, but it needs to be someone on a six-figure contract.

Maybe Berard or Sykora then. Both of them are probably similar value imo

Personally, I wouldn’t give that up for Trouba; I’d consider it at 50% retention.

Right on Rags. I've been making that point all week long.

Miller better start to get better or his tookus will be out the door. He flat out sucked in the playoffs. I don’t like his body language much, and he’s very soft for his size

Goodrow will probably be here one more season which frees up some money

I don't disagree. I am no K'Andre fan either and Goodrow is likely to be retained. My remark was intended to focus on the CAP SPACE issue that is coming at the end of 24-25. Hope that clarifies!

Yea i understand, no problem. I think next year is the most important year in this franchise history. They NEED to win it next year. The devils will be better and deadly soon enough. By the season after next, they might be the best team in the NHL. So I’m almost at an all in situation right now. Trade picks and whatever prospects to get THEE GUY, and go get a cup. We’re close, very close. We just need a little bit more. To me, Marchy is that last piece

KAM and Schneider were the easily best rangers defenseman all playoffs long

Fox, Lindgren and Trouba all played hurt and looked awful. And it’s no coincidence that KAM sucks when he’s paired with Trouba
