I disagree. He showed in the playoffs that he is a useful piece for bottom 6 scoring as well as very sound pk play. But it really depends on what team wants him

BUF has no desire to even entertain that. I'd love to hear your thought process behind it though.

He's got a 15 team NTC and is due $11m+ in salary over the next 3 years. I will say it again, two 5ths is not going to entice any team to take him.

Krebs needs a change of scenery and I believe that sykora=Krebs. Tuch = chytil a 1st and a 2nd

I get what you're saying. I still could ea team take him on. And if not, buyout candidate

Let's see...

Tuch...a 79 point player
Krebs...a top defensive up and coming center

for

6 point Chytil... (to be fair 45 last year)
and 23 point AHL player (BUF doesn't need prospects, we've got better ones)

and the 1st doesn't do anything either...

If you combine his regular season and playoffs, Goodrow played at a 17 point pace across 82 games. He's also 31 years old and has nearly $11 million left on his contract across three years. Bad teams like the Hawks can easily find players for cheaper and less term in that archetype. If I'm the Hawks, I need at least a 2nd round pick to consider taking on that contract, and I'd want something more along the line of a future 1st and Goodrow for a 2nd.

Why does Krebs need a chance of scenery?

Tuch 79 points
Chytil 45

not even close.

Krebs had been a underperformer by many standards and chytil is younger, better contact, and the 1 and 2 is the equality in value

Trouba Trade

The Rangers have no interest in a 36-year-old defenseman.

The Goodrow Trade

The Rangers have no 2nd round picks in 24', 25' or 26.' The Rangers have no 3rd round picks in 24' and 25'. That said, I'm sure they can't wait to trade two 5th rounders for a 7th rounder.

Chytil/Kakko trades.

Same issue with draft picks.

Conclusion: Someone spiked the punch. Or, for those of us of a certain vintage, it reminds me of the MC at Woodstock after the Sha Na Na set; "Harold............" For the younger folks I am sure you can find this moment on Youtube.

If Buff was in need of a quantity approach. They have prospects seeping out. They are in need of quality, like Tuch. Just not the right team/target

We aren't going to take Trouba's full cap hit and add a second.

If you think Krebs is underperforming then you don't know his game. He was 63rd in the league among all Fs in GA/60 5v5.

(https://www.naturalstattrick.com/playerteams.php?fromseason=20232024&thruseason=20232024&stype=2&sit=5v5&score=all&stdoi=oi&rate=y&team=ALL&pos=F&loc=B&toi=500&gpfilt=none&fd=&td=&tgp=410&lines=single&draftteam=ALL)

The late 1st has no value to BUF (we have prospects galore). The second is even worse. ANd Tuch is a top-tier player in the league.

The trade makes no sense.

What about this?

Trouba + Kreider <> Tuch + Krebs + 1st?

It also depends on which team can take on his cap hit as well… there won’t be many.

I'm not sure playoff performance is a selling point for Chicago in the near future. His only value to Chicago would be the sweetener attached, and two 5th for a 7th isn't enticing. On top of that, he's overpaid relative to his value which makes him a luxury that most contenders can't afford.

No from Detroit, Without retention Trouba is of no interest even if you are sending back picks Detroit's way.
