As a leafs fan i'd make this trade. Not sure it's enough for the Avs as they don't need the cap space

And why you want to reduce contracts, I don't see this improve roster on any way. Leafs got up to limit on purpose, they could have tried to dump contracts to Vegas for example to keep Leipsic so why do it now?. They want to see where everyone is at in camp and then we could see some minor movement. Besides thanks to Lupul's contract now Leafs can play with summer LTIR and next year is off the books.
The Hurricanes are also at 49 contracts I don;t see them trade 4 for 1, the Rangers 48....

yes, I can see the leafs making a trade for some excess forwards. but don't trade marincin, he might be needed. the leafs are thin at nhl dmen, and it's a long season.

You sound angry. Leafs are at 49 contracts without Brown. Brown signs and we have no room for waiver claims or potential trades. The trade proposal wasn't about improving the team, it was about moving out players that have likely moved down Toronto's depth chart but could be attractive to a team like Colorado to fill out their farm team (and call up in case of injury).
clark and JTrades liked this.
