Why is SJ adding picks? Even remove the picks sharks still easily say no.

bad trade for boston. they would take on 6m for a RD whos slightly better then carlo. other trades are also just weird or unrealistic. necas at 6m is unrealistic sprong is also probably gonna get 3M+ but maybe he eats some money for a contender

Interesting perspective, lol

This is for 6 years of a flawed #2 Dman to partner with Jones. I think they would be an excellent pairing and another bodyguard for Bedard.

The “pile” is to get rid of contracts, which is better for the Blackhawks than trading away top prospects and 1st round picks. This is a steal of a deal for Chicago.

1. Carlo is not an effective top 4 Dman, the numbers don’t support that at all, while Pesce clearly is.

2. Necas at 6 million for 2 years lines him up for a bigger potential payday playing with 29 & 97. I think both he and agent can see that.

3. Sprong didn’t get 3 million for 21 goals in 66 games the year before, but will get that for 18 goals in 10 more games? Highly unlikely, he is a 3rd liner, that’s not where teams want to spend money..

McLeod still plays an outside game and seems afraid of traffic. Skates like the wind though so doubtful there. The goalie swap with the Oilers throwing in a legit journeyman or prospect I could see

Your “flawed #2 dman” is starting on the bottom pair tonight…

Oh it’s a steal alright, just not for the Hawks.

Everybody who watches hockey is well aware of the struggles Nurse and Ceci have had during the playoffs. There should be multiple 1st round picks going to Chicago just to take those two contracts alone.

Somehow though you have the Hawks giving up two solid prospects in Del Mastro and Greene, two 2nd round picks; one of which is the 34th pick in the upcoming draft; two 3rd round picks and a solid two-way centre.

Where is the value for the Hawks? Chiasson… please! Savoie… he’s not as good as either of the prospects Chicago is giving up. The draft picks are also worse than what Chicago is in this proposal.

Face it this is absolutely brutal for the Hawks.

Nurse has been a top 20 minute-munching Dman in this league for the past 6 seasons. He isn’t Bobby Orr, but he isn’t nothing.

Seth Jones with Nurse would be the perfect pairing and they would be one of the top pairings in the league for several years.

Yes, his contract sucks, but Chicago can easily afford it. I don’t get the grief over losing non-top 10 prospects for player who will really help stabilize that blueline. This was a more than generous offer.
