Not sure Marner would be interested in going to/signing with the Flames, but suppose he could be a rental at the deadline if he agreed to be traded there. Also not sure why so many leafs fans think the flames would be interested in Jarnkrok after his previous terrible stint with the team.

Robertson and Liljergen would definitely be of interest. Adding a pick/prospect instead of offloading a guy like Jarnkrok would make this deal a bit more worthwhile for Calgary.

Robertson and Liljegren and Kampf, for that matter, are definitely of ZERO interest to the Flames. We have Pelletier & Miromanov, so no need for either of those two. The only guys TOR has that we’d have any interest in would be Knies, McMann and Cowan

As for Jarnkrok, I doubt he wants to come back either, but with Sutter gone, why not? He’d make an excellent 4C and mentor to get Pelletier, Morton, Honzek and Coronato, Pospisil, Klapka and Schwindt moving up the lineup and can cover if anybody in the Top-9 goes down or cold. He’s the ideal utility player, he just costs more than is ideal

Marner declines the Flames and Flames decline to have Marner. We already have Huberdeau as our playmaker

Calgary has no interest in Marner, Marner has no interest in Calgary and a the rest of that garbage ( 2 cap dumps, a Lily and a little Nicky) is pretty much worthless.

Liljergen was playing solid hockey as a top 4 d man later in the season before he got hurt. I find it hard to believe the flames wouldn't be interested in a 25 year old right shot D that can play top 4 minutes and on the pp.

Robertson is a prospect that could benefit from a change of scenery and given more of a shot to play offensive minutes. Pelletier hasn't done much especially with his injuries as of late.

If the flames could move both Markstrom and Mangiapane without any retention on either player or taking back a bad contract with term, that would be a win in itself.

Liljegren is inconsistent and weak in his own end. We have Andersson and Miromanov with Brzustewicz as a Top Offensive RD Prospect. The only RD we want or need is a Big Physical Crease Clearing Penalty Killler

Pelletier is a more complete player but exactly why we don’t want Robertson. He’s mediocre and undersized

Markstrom has substantial value and Mangiapane’s value will increase through this season. IF we Trade him, it should be at the Trade Deadline
