EP40 value

Description
I wanted to ask what Elias Petterson's market value is to everyone. He is signed to an 8 year contract at 11.6million and has pne more year before his NMC sets in. If he is moved, Big IF, then it happens in the next year, if not in the next month.

So, what is EP40 trade value?
Give some teams that could do it and what they would offer!

I would want an 80 point winger, a 1st, and one of the teams best prospects. Then sign Lindholm to 7x7 as the second line center

Canucks aren’t trading him, but in a hypothetical scenario his value is definitely more than what Eichel was traded for. Arguably more than what Tkachuk was traded for as well considering the situations (Tkachuk was an RFA winger who requested a trade, and had one season over 80 points (but was coming off a 104 point season), while Pettersson is a center signed long term coming off a 102 point and 89 point (where he had a 107 point pace before injury) season)

And before people bring up Pettersson’s playoff performance, he has a better playoff PPG than Tkachuk did in Calgary (0.8 PPG compared to 0.56 PPG)

I like this. Makes me think, Necas, Morrow and 1st.

Takes more than that. That’s similar to the Eichel return minus the 2nd

Sportnet 650 radio Sat and Riccio talked about how long it took the Sedins 7 years to be a point per game and playoff player. That really brought things into perspective. Tochett talked about Petty needing to start working on things now! He has two move levels but needs more physical stability and maybe bulk to get there.

You’re right he’s better. He’s a 90-100 point 2 way center, while Eichel has put up 80+ points once. Pettersson also has more term, didn’t request a trade, and isn’t in need of major neck surgery. He’s absolutely better and more valuable than Eichel was

No, no, and no. Fast has little value, UFA rights have little value, and KK has negative value. It would have to be another pretty significant piece. You don’t trade a borderline top 5 center in the league for a 55 point winger, a late 1st, and a good prospect. The 1st or Morrow would probably just need to be upgraded to a better piece to headline the return
