I don't think the Hawks would be interested.

Hes only a 1 year deal any of the rebuilding teams would take a flyer on him he's a 3rd line guy on even strength but really strong on the PP

Hawks have plenty of bottom 6 guys already & prospects waiting in the wings for opportunities. They are unlikely to keep clogging up the pipelines with “take a flyer” type players.

Canes probably do that, and in all likelihood sign Guentzel as well if he is willing to sign that contract.

Did something go wrong with Novak? They just signed him. I'd be a buyer at that price though.

That is a steeeep price to pay for Necas.

I wouldn't be comfortable going with Andersen as the starter, given his health/injury history.

That 3rd line should be fun to watch.

Big pass on the Necas trade. We have enough prospects to entice them without downgrading to Freddie

i think youre underrating Saros, that trade seems like a gift to Carolina. Rangers would probably do that Novak trade but i dont think Nash would, they just re-signed him.

That Necas deal is a little too rich for my taste. If NSH does move Saros, I wouldn't mind moving him as part of a deal for Necas, but that is a bit too rich for me personally. I'm also not opposed to Andersen as part of that deal considering he has the experience, but if NSH does that then NSH needs to be confident that Askarov can play at least 25-30 games next season.

I'm not really certain why we move on from Novak. I've been all onboard with L'Heuruex getting his shot next season, but since this was his first year as a pro, I'd rather give him one more year in the AHL and have Novak there instead, even though that line would be really fun to watch, I think it would be equally as fun watching Novak there as well.

Lastly, I can't see Stamkos leaving TBL. I think he likely takes a team-friendly deal to stay in TBL for 1-2 more years and then retires alongside McDonagh.

As a Preds fan, I’d pass on the Novak trade; I’m not opposed to moving him, but to do so to only move up in a weak draft isn’t good asset management imo. I’d move him to any team for a 2nd or 3rd round pick. Also, Id rather move Saros for futures, not give them up. I’d rather just sign Teravainen than move Saros for younger cheaper players. Trying to sign Stamkos should be this teams #1 priority #2 should be trading Saros for assets #3 upgrade the D #4 add a scoring winger. I always like your proposals though.

But giving up a second. I’d rather move him for an actual asset in the 25 draft.

So would you give up a 2nd and Novak for a 25’ 1st rounder?
