It’s not a bad offer, just not tailored to our needs at all.

I think ultimately it’s a no from us because of too many guys and not enough spots…

Would rather do something like this than buy him out, every dollar saved from that Skinner contract will be critical. I'd even consider giving up the 2025 1st to get him off the roster with nothing retained. If the Sabres 2024/25 season goes this well, futures will not matter cuz there will be no room left in the lineup

I kinda made this trade as a placeholder for "Get Skinner off the roster with as little retained as possible and avoid a buyout." It can really be any team with any futures attached. If he puts up like 25+ goals and 55+ points next season in a 3rd line role, I feel like his value wouldn't be as low on the market as people think given at this point he would only have 2 years left and the cap keeps increasing. Good trade chip for a team that needs to hit the cap floor

After this year and his 10mill Salary his actual money owed the last 2 years is 7mill and them 5mill. If he has his usual 25 or so goals this year it shouldn't cost that much to dump him. That is a overkill

Fair, always good to prepare for worst case scenerio tho. On a positive note, this Sabres lineup freaking rocks

Yeah maybe SJS would be on that.

Johnson, Krebs and two mid - late 2nds a few years from now isn't enough to take on Skinner 8M x 3. If they want to Move 11th OA then i'll start listening

8x2 based on their projection, and I agree.
