Swap Turcotte with Kaliyev and maybe. As listed, not a chance.

No. PLD has way more upside than this trade.

Thought Kaliyev was worth more than Turcotte at this point? Fine with either though

Right but the contract... Smith had the same amount of points in less games this year

As it stands, the PLD contract is one of the worst in the NHL and trading our starting goalie for him is not worth considering.

How much would Spencer Knight actually cost? I'm not sure Acciari would be enough, or even interesting to the Panthers given his performance this season.

I see Knight as a cap dump / change of scenery candidate given the amount of players they have to resign and his recent performance so not worth too much I would think

Acciari is a similar player for Pittsburgh without the cap implications and I assume they'll need to replace some depth that will be poached July 1

Dont think the Kings go for this. As far as PLD goes, im sure the Kings realized this was a very bad year for him but still have some sort of confidence he can return to form, he's hit 60 points in a majority of the seasons he's played. Give him some talented linemates and see what happens.

Jarry is too expensive for what he would bring to the team, and on too long of a contract. Unless the Kings get some elite goaltending (unlikely), they're probably looking at someone who can hold it down for a few seasons and see if Portillo takes over.

Reilly Smith as a 1-year rental at 5M doesn't particularly excite me.

Nope. The Kings still have high hopes for Turcotte. Not so much for Kaliyev.

I've long said FL should move Knight this offseason for cap reasons. However, I think they get a better return than that if they do.
It's hard to not see Bob is their guy going forward. I just can't see them moving Bob at this point and playing Knight. Keeping him around as a 4.5 mil backup is looking very difficult.

That was such a bad contract for FL to sign. 36 games and they handed him big money. Total waste. He should be on a smaller contract and then it wouldn't even be an issue and they would have Bob's eventual replacement in the wing. But they blew that by over reacting. Now it's either carry a 4.5 mil backup goalie when you need cap space or rifle him out to another team. Poor management.

Nope. Would have to be Turcotte in this scenario.
