If the sens look like that I will be happy

Team: 2024-25 Ottawa Senators
Initial Creation Date: Jun. 8, 2024
Published: Jun. 12, 2024
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Trade

1.
Trade Forsberg to any team for a 7th round pick. He can help a team and is not a cap dump.

2. Kastelic is a great 4th line center who can win face offs plus is physical

3. Matty is a great to way forward and he is very good defensively. A second rounder is fair for a ppk expert and with a team like the can he will put is offense skill at a other step.

4. Is time to Ottawa is done. Time for him to go away.

5. Chychrun for Marchment is trade I saw a couple of times on acgm.

6. Dumps the contract of Korpi is obligated to pass at the other step. This return can be better but Grier is one of the worst GM a never seen so he probably accept.

7. Is the last thing we miss on this team. The return look pretty fair. At this point Boston take quantity over quality.

8. Trade JBD for Appleton look faire in my opinion.

Free agent signing

Tanev. He is what he miss on this defense. If he can I will be very happy but I am not sure that will happen.

Hakanpaa. Big 6 and 5 dman. He will certainly be a big help for us.

Beauvillier : out of a terrible season so he will cheaper to sign and he can certainly the player we have see in Long Island.

Smith , Lagesson. To player to scratch and cam in case of injury.

Hamonic rebuy . I am tired to see him. Is bad in the to way of the ice.

Pinto contract seems fair for both side and is the time too sign him a long term deal

i'd love it if my team could ditch their bad contracts for nothing, move the bad players for value, and get a major award winner for spare parts too

If the team signs 10 UFAs and makes 8 trades, in 1 offseason. you'll be happy? I've got some bad news for you.

I'd be livid if Ottawa gave up that haul for Ullmark. The BOS 2024 1st should be enough - maybe add a mid round pick if needed.
And, sadly, you're overvaluing Forsberg, Kasty, Brannstrom and JBD in their trades.

I'd rather trade Sogaard than Leevi tbh, I'm much higher on Leevi~

Ostapchuk is on track to be a more skilled Trent Frederic - super hard working with a touch of skill. He's on the fringe of an NHLer, I'd be very disappointed if they traded him.
Merilainen looks like the best option for goalie of the future - too many are enamored by Sogaard's size but at the NHL level his lankiness and slower limbs are getting exposed; Merilainen is the better NHL prospect.

Hardly spare parts, add in the high 2nd rounder and there's far more value than BOS 1st at 25 this year which seems to be the consensus trade barring truly spare parts (which Merilainen and Ostapchuk are not)

frederic scored more in the NHL than he did in the AHL. call me when he cracks through. 21 year olds that put up 28 points in an AHL season aren't, "on track," to do anything. still a project. though i can't speak to whether or not he is as physical as frederic. Worth noting, Frederic was kind of a stud for the bruins this year. He was used as a jack of all trades, but he seemed to provide a significant boost to any line he was on. almost a fixer.

If he had to Ostapchuk could play in the NHL next year - he played a few games at the end of the year and fit in very well. Watching him play he does a lot that doesn't show up on the score sheet - same idea as Frederic. He's not going to carry a team, but that type of player is needed on a team to win. I've seen a bunch of both players and think Frederic is a good current NHL comparable that Ostapchuk will grow into.

fair opinion. in terms of his value, i don't think it's much until he sticks in the NHL. same was true of frederic when he was in the AHL.
