Don't think that package gets you 7, let alone adding JC

Well Buch is more valuable than JC by himself, but you’re entitled to you opinion

Dvorsky in the deal instead of Snuggerud would make it close

Understood. I think he might be the Blues #2 or #3 center next year so that would be tough. Blues really shot themselves in the foot by deciding to be good the last couple weeks. They had a worse record than the Sens at one point...we can't even suck well... 'smile

Man I feel that. We were below Montreal in the standings near the end of the season too frown

I'd argue that Dvorsky is a more valuable piece than the #7 this year given the differences in draft classes, but that's pretty subjective. So that leaves you with Buchnevich and a 2nd for Chychrun which also makes no sense for the Blues.

Disregarded Perunovich because he's essentially a non value asset at this stage, although when healthy he has some ability to help an NHL team.

Ya but only to a team that thinks they can either resign him or are a playoff contention team. Both of their values are heavily determined by what the team acquiring them is getting them for.

No, he's not. Dvorsky is good but not a top 10 pick in this year's draft good.

Last years draft was as a consensus graded as a very strong draft.

This years draft as a consensus is graded as a pretty weak draft.

I'm not saying that you won't get a good player at #7, I hope you do. But I see no reason to value one asset over another.

You could argue based on team needs but could make case Dvorsky would be 2nd best center in this draft after Celebrini. You can say Lindstrom will be better all around but Dvorsky looks like he’ll put up more points at this point in time.

Celebrini
Demidov
Lindstrom
Catton
Iginla

All go before Dvorsky and that's not even including defenceman or borderline players like Sennecke. Last year's draft was considered good because of the top end forwards, this years draft is a lot deeper at both forward and defense

I can agree with you on 3 of those. Along with Levshuvnov, Buium, probably Silayev, but regardless it's all subjective. You like this player a lot, I don't like them at all. I like this player a lot you don't like them very much.

Agree - with AC14, I don’t think Catton and Iginla go before him. Lindstrom is a maybe. Again it’s subjective.
