This one's for you @yycofred

I'd prefer a Bigger Better & More Experienced Penalty Killing 3RD, like Hakanpaa or Kovacevic, but Pachal wasn't terrible either

Podkolzin & Holtz could easily be bumped out of the Top-6 by Mikheyev, Luostarinen, Pospisil or Coronato if they don't produce/perform. Fortunately Holtz has 1 more season of Waivers Eligibility, as does Coronato

Love Pelletier, don’t get me wrong, I just like Luostarinen more because he can play Centre and would be a potential future Backlund replacement

If the Flames don’t do well, hopefully we can move Mangiapane, Backlund, Kylington and maybe even Coleman and Andersson out for absolute hauls at the Trade Deadline. Maybe Mikheyev, Bastian, Vladar or Driedger have improved their value by then as well. Hoping Kuzy loves playing in Calgary, produces and stays longer

Canucks accept. That feels light for the combination of acquiring Yegor and dumping Mikheyev

I like Lustorainen the target, I don't think he will be easy to pry out of there though, Florida could have a ton of turnover next season and they have guys like Knight, Rodrigues, Mikkola who I think they'd move first and then you'd look and Bennett, Verhage who have a year left and could have priced themselves out of new deals but teams would give up a good package for them.

I think that's too much turnover on a New Jersey roster that thinks they can compete, whether that's right or wrong I think they try stay the course and get more saves, I like Bahl, the Flames have enough guys like Bastian already but I think Holtz is a great target. If they were looking to add a third goalie I think they'd look at trying to get Schmid back in a Devils deal.

A lot of quantity in the Canucks trade, especially in places that the Flames are fairly deep, that being middle six wingers, if they sell high on Sharangovich it will be for either premium draft capital, a teams top end prospect, or a swap for a roster player that still has years of control, stuck in a depth chart and ready to pop.
