I think the move could work out, but it ultimately won't. Elliot is going to need to play like he did his last year in St. Louis for this to work. Especially when you consider the division that they play in, there's a ton of really good offense and really good goalies. The offenses of Columbus, Washington and Pittsburgh are all lethal, and NYR is very good as well. Those teams each have a top 10 NHL goalie as well. If Scott Darling becomes the next Cam Talbot, that's another goalie Elliot needs to outperform. Doesn't look good for him.

Elliott and Neuvirth are both very streaky goalies and proven to be effective when splitting time. I don't mind the tandem.
