Could be a deal if the Canes really think Kutz is worth that much long term. GMs/coaches and teammates hate having overpaid players on their teams though

He's not overpaid though.

Well we'll see. If he reverted to one year hit of 77 points in a season, yep maybe fair value. If he's at last year's 59 points, it's certainly not. Canes don't seem to the team that throw away money at hoping a player performs.....not after Semen's implosion .

From the caps side, I'd do it. It opens up cap space and improves put blue line. A downgrade at 2C for this cost is 100% cool with me. Rask is still signed long term as well. Also, Skinner-Kuz-Williams would be a hell of a line. Kuz and Williams are great together.
