This trade proposal is a joke and an insult. Way too much.

Agreed with the others that's way too much for Matt Duchene, And Simon Despres is finished he wont be playing anywhere.

Is this purely speculation, or something different?

I wouldn't trade Reinhart for Duchene 1 for 1 if I was Buffalo. Basically because of the term between the two of them. ROR and Eichel are better centers already on the team for lots of years.

maybe we can offer you guys a pair of disappointing prospects and you can let one walk and not sign the other for Duchene?.... that was good enough for O'reilly, sakic would have to get rid of reinhart and McCabe when there contracts ended because he doesn't want to pay anyone anyway, so does it really matter what you receive? just ask for a 1st round pick that way you can afford that prospect for 3 years... just don't draft out of college because college players are smart and will walk when they can.

I think you should make the Duchene trade, and still finish far out of the playoff picture.

Better yet, make the trade, start tanking for Dahlin, finish last in the NHL, but still only get the #2 pick and watch Dhalin light up the league throughout his career. Best.
