It's a good strategy. They would be considered as contenders. However, I still don't think they would win the Cup with this team. But they'd be a tough team to beat in playoffs

The thing about this is that by offersheeting Draisaitl it also makes the Oilers weaker. Like with any team, if you can get into the playoffs anything can happen in the playoffs.

Most be a King thing. Overpaying centres. Yea it might be Oilers a big weaker this year, but they still have the 8m they would have spent on Leon and can spend elsewhere this year and in future years. An those picks. could be top 15 for a few.

I'm no fan of the Kings, but Carter's contract is fantastic

Kopitar's contract is bad for one reason and that is he has nobody to play with. For example he has played with: Lewis,Brown,gaborik,iginla and dowd. At the end of last leason he played with kempe and he averaged around a point a game.
