While I would personally make this trade as an Islanders fan, I am highly concerned about the state of our defense. Ideally, Hamonic would have been the one dealt in a package for Duchene. They (NYI) would be rail thin on the blue line and need additional help.

We also need to remember that we are dealing with Joe Sakic. He will probably want Barclays Center and the development rights of Belmont so he can erect a shrine of himself.

I think he can get a shrine merely off the Hall of Fame numbers he put up as a player. And that's Mr. Sakic to you.
