Sam Morin is one of the highest possible defensive prospects within the Flyers organization that will crack the roster this upcoming season.

Morin is 6'7, a defensive defensemen, and has a howitzer. Who does that remind you of? Who can be relied on in the last 2 minutes of a game ahead by one?

I project Sam Morin to be a reliable, defensive defensemen, that can take guys off the puck while maintaining good defensive positioning. He will in no way ever be up for a Norris, but is still a reliable player. He's one of those kids that I project to have a high defensive ceiling (should play w/ Shayne Gostisbehere this season) that can also score from the point around 4-8 times a season.

Also, Charles Hudon and a 4th for Morin would be a great trade for you Pony

How is there a vote for garbage? He's a future top pairing d-man who will be a big part of the Flyers or wherever he ends up if he ends up on another team.

He is not going to be top pair on Philadelphia. He is most likely the 4/5 defensemen on the team.

they could have 3 top pairing guys with Provorov, Ghostisbehere, and Morin.

What do you think his maximum potential is though? An Alzner type guy? #3 defenseman?

Alzner might actually be a 2. I see him as an Alzner level guy.

Maximum potential is Karl Alzner or Chris Tanev.

He will not be anything higher than a 4. Philippe Myers is the Flyers future #2 and will play alongside Ivan Provorov

They are not and Morin's max potential is that, IMO.

Top pair defensemen are Erik Karlsson, OEL, etc.

to be a top pairing d-man you don't need to be a #1.

Alzner is a 4 and Tanev is a 3. Just because you play top minutes doesn't make you a top pair player. Sheary plays top line minutes, but sure as hell isn't anything more than a bottom-six forward.

If you're Swedish and a defenseman playing top pairing minutes, you are automatically a top 2 dman no matter what because that's how life works.
