You would have to give up dumolin or matta to get Duchene as a starting point. For what you would have to give up and with Duchene's cap hit, you better be using him in the top six. He'll disappoint as a 3rd line center. Too expensive either way. I don't think PIT is a good fit for Duchene anyways. He's better suited on a team in need of a top 2 center like Columbus or Carolina.

If Colorado turned down Hamonic, Dal Colle and a 1st, I don't think they'd take this. That being said, Duchene is a good fit in Pittsburgh. He's shown on Team Canada that when surrounded by good talent and a good locker room, he can reach his potential. That's why I'd do something like

Hagelin-Duchene-Kessel
Wilson-Rowney-Reaves

JR wouldn't give Bonino $4 million to center the third line, No way is he going to pay $6 million for a #3C in Matt Duchene.
