Montreal really has no choice but to use Galchenyuk. Honestly, I don't see why they just haven't committed to it already. I understand that his defensive game needs work, but when he plays center, he's an incredibly dangerous offensive threat. Leaving him on the wing is just arrogant by the coaching staff

I've said this in another thread, but I think Galchenyuk is better suited on the wing. He's good along the boards and in the corners, 10/10 shot and amazing one-timer, he's an OK passer, but he gets loss at the center of the ice and in front of the net. And everyone knows his struggles in his defensive zone coverage and faceoffs. But I also think he's the Habs best center right now, and that's shows just how desperate MTL is for a top 6 C, Let alone a #1 C. Danault, Plekanec and even Shaw are good centers, just not top 6.

Drouin will serve Patches and this is very exciting . Forget about Radulovskyzonovitch this is now Drouinsky time , way better and not out of gazoline on haft of shift a HUGE upgrade . Will Galchenyuk be able to find a room , a trio for his games to shine ? Will defence hold and transition game not be too affected by the lost of puck moving Beaulieu and (mostly) Markov ? I don't think that Galchenyuk style fit Paccioretty skills personnally , so i hope he prove me wrong . Especially a Paccioretty-Drouin-Galchy line , since i always would have wanna see Galchy off wing like in the PP ... but hey ...ouatte dou hay no ?

Drouin will grow into a true center through the rest of the season and the offseason. He'll be our #1C for a while, unless we sign Tavares or some prospect (ie. Poehling, Evans, future pick) turns out better than expected.

Nawh, Drouin will be a center until we find an actual one, Bergevin already said that Drouin would be a better player on the wing

Drouin is not a center. And he should not be playing there unless a whole bunch of guys are injured or something.

Shaw and Danault are injured, but hes playing there regardless. Im just hoping Bergevin gets a great Elite Prospect defesemen/Young NHL ready defensemen for Pacioretty and then we can pray that we get some help for a Center in FA as there are many top 6 centers in this FA class

Bozak would be a 3rd line Center on the habs. I value him around the same as Philip Danault. Hes nothing special

Well right now it’s Danault, but yeah. I can’t believe how much our centre depth has changed since 2017. Back then Jake Evans was an option people were talking about being our 1C, and now he’ll never be any higher than our 4C. And it’s not like he’s gotten worse, he’s been better every year.

I think Evans could be a 3C
Also funny how they thought LEHKONEN THE LW would be a 1C

I think he could be as good as a 3C, but I don’t think he’ll ever get that opportunity in MTL with all of the guys ahead of him.

I don't think we see Perfetti available at #8, I'd put my money Rossi or Drysdale (let's pray he's available)
