Trouba trade COL

Description
Winnipeg still has Trouba for 3 season of control minimum. If he truly doesn't want to be here, it's this year or next to trade him. A sign and trade makes the most sense because the team acquiring him gets security. COL needs a true #1RHD and Trouba at 23 years old could stabilize their blue line during their re-build. They try and work the deal around Duchene but WPG is only interested in MacKinnon.

WPG is set for the next 7 years down the middle and tries the PIT approach with the top 9 being difficult for any team to match offensively.

      laugh laugh It would take far more then Trouba @8 years $64 million to get Nate MacKinnon and i seriously doubt Trouba would commit long term to a rebuilding club in Colorado Trouba will want to play in the east not west.

      Interesting idea but I doubt Sakic would accept Trouba for Duchene one-for-one, let alone Mackinnon. He already turned down Hamonic and two first round picks from NYI for Duchene, so I think you'd need to offer up a lot more.

      I'd turn down Hamonic and 2x1st too. Hamonic just isn't in the same ballpark as Trouba.

      Hedman got 7.8, Jones, Lindholm and Ristolainen got around 5.5. Now way would I trade Mack so I could overpay Trouba like that.

      Trouba has to be the single most overrated player on this board.

      All these Jet fans trading Trouba. Do jets fans realize how much better Trouba is then any other dmen on the team? We are talking almost Karlsson sens big. Buff is aging still very good offensively but defensively he is struggling. Myers when healthy is a capable #4 but thats about it. Morrissey could close the gap but he is still likely more a #2 dmen than #1. The jets just can't replace Trouba. Over pay to sign him or trade him for another dmen. Do not trade him for a forward. Jets don't have crosby or malkin they can't make that model work.

      Pointless trade for Colorado, they need a LHD and Trouba doesn't stack up in value to Duchene one for one let alone MacKinnnon.
