Pavelski is still a great player and fits the Pens needs, but he is kind of old so the first pick / fourth pick swaps would probably be a deal breaker. Maybe seconds and fifths?

There's no way SJ makes that deal. The picks are going to be in the mid to low 20's (if not 30 or 31). Pouliot is a 23 (24 in Jan) year old "prospect" who has yet to be able to crack an NHL roster full time even with all of the injuries the Pens have had on their blueline. While I like Wilson, his ceiling is a 3rd line grinder and Hornqvist, while still a 20 goal guy, is on the wrong side of 30 and was a 4th liner in the playoffs.

Horny can get you a 1st so it would be 3 1st way over payment and when hbk was kicking 2 years ago Malkin was basically was centering the 3rd line so he is not a #1 center????? Horny is a top 6 wing it doesn't matter he played on 4 line or not

Pavs is more RW now than C, and he is still top 6 player and should be on the first pp unit, his work around the net and especially in front of net (his deflections are just wow) together with Burns shooting are main reasons why Sharks made playoffs last year... And this trade is not gonna happen imo

This does not help the Pens. Pavs would not want to be a third line center so the Pens would be trading a top six wing in Hornqvist, picks, a young winger who had a good playoffs and a prospect who needs to prove himself soon for a top 6 winger. We have more top 6 wingers than spots to put them.
