You could have Puljujarvi on the Sedins line to help develop him, or you could have the old line with Iggy. This team is stacked.

Maybe if you retained some salary because no GM is going to want to take on those albatross of a contract...

I actually love this! Real shot at a cup here for Edmonton. And Vancouver could do a lot worse on the return for the twins. Nuge is a bit expensive since he was paid with the expectation his offense would bloom. But VAN could really use a young skilled player and a 1st rounder to start the rebuild.

This is gold.

Sedin's are in the final year of their deal, so it actually works out well for EDM as McDavid's new deal kicks in after next season.

Meh. One year of the Sedin's (and an unworkable cap situation) aren't worth three years of RNH and the first round pick in one of the deepest drafts in years. The Sedin's get hammered here in the Pacific; I think they'd be better off going to the Eastern Conference. Iginla is too slow to keep up on the Oilers roster.

The Fayne move would be excellent, if it could be done. New Jersey lacks NHL defenders, so they might be interested. Is a fifth enough though?

Love Iginla years ago, but don't see him being a good addition after you've done the Sedin deals.

On paper, the Sedins look pretty good here. I would probably lean towards them not living up to the expectations though, even with McDavid's line taken the toughest matchups. Also don't think they improve the team in the "intangibles" come playoff time. Best bet for EDM might be to leverage RNH for a defensive upgrade to keep Russell on the 3rd pair.

Still interesting to see, and probably an interesting package for Benning to consider.

Thanks guys! I just think this would be an awesome lineup. Plus, with the Sedins in the last year of their contracts, they could sign elsewhere next year when McDavid's contract kicks in and Edmonton unloads RNH's contract.
