zero chance that the Stars would consider this. Not only are they playing Spezza on the wing this year meaning they don't have the center depth, but they aren't giving up 4 years of Faksa for a 3rd and Pouliot

You acknowledge that Faska is 3C. You acknowledge Pouilet is a "depth" Dman. Depth meaning and check last year, he's an American Leaguer. So why do you think this is a fair deal for Dallas?

I think
1. Sheary for Faksa with a 3rd or 4th going to Pittsburgh or
2. Rust for Faksa with a 3rd or 4th going to Dallas or if the defense needs help
3. Hunwick for Faksa all might be closer

Goligoski had already proven that he could play and be a two-way defender in the league.

Even if the Stars put Spezza on the wing they still have:
Seguin
Hanzal
-------------
Faksa
Shore
Janmark
Somebody below the line is gonna go, the Stars need to cut cap and this is where they have room. And though Faksa is signed his current hit gives them the best room. I could see a 2nd, but not a 1st. Pens don't do stupid **** and over pay for a #3 guy, that's why all their old #3's are being grossly overpaid by somebody else.

Goli was a borderline 3rd pairing/7th D guy in Pitt, already looking barely worth Niskanen straight up.
