Which player would McDavid play the best with out of the whole league

Think of his playing style and how he benefits off the line mate,

Also you can't just say the best player available like Crosby, because putting him with him might handcuff his cabalities, as they both generate the play

I think maybe a guy like Marchand could give McDavid like a 120 point season

Jeff Skinner - Connor McDavid - David Pastrnak

Skinner and Pastrnak are in the top 2 in rebounds created at 5v5 (27 and 29, respectfully)
McDavid leads the NHL in 5v5 primary assists (29)
They all have very high CF% (possession metrics)

Kucherov, Pastrnak, or Laine. Someone who is a natural scorer.

Ovechkin of 10 years ago, absolutely. Back when he was so fast and powerful that he scored more goals on the rush than he did in his office, he'd be a great fit for McDavid. Nowadays, he isn't using his legs the same way he used to. He's not the best fit for McDavid right now

The best passer in the league with a RW and a LW who are unbelievable goal-scorers.

Not going to be that effective when McDavid can go full blast because old man Ovi is too far behind.

Ovi isn't that slow, and McDavid can score goals too anyway.

He is slower compared to guys who would be better fits with McDavid.

Tarasenko is faster though, right? Imagine a power play of McDavid, Ovi, and Tarasenko?

replace Ovi with Kucherov and that's goals for the next 10 years+ constantly on the PP.

Actually thats even better now. He just sits in his spot. Back then he needed the puck at all times.

He actually did a lot more without the puck back then than people give him credit for. He generated a decent amount of offense for others, and he didn't really need the puck all the time. Common misconception about past Ovi

Marchand McDavid Kucherov would be sweet.

Or Tampa Bias.
Palat McDavid Kucherov. Goals and solid defensively.

You have to find players that succeed without the puck, because McDavid will have it almost all the time, so you'll want at least one sniper (Laine or Stamkos) and one possession monster (Bergeron, Marchand, Kopitar, etc.) to help give him the puck more.

I would say a line with Bergeron-McDavid-Laine would probably be the best possible combination, with Bergeron taking faceoffs but McDavid playing the center position the rest of the time.

Marchand/McDavid/Pasta

The next International tourney where NHL players play will showcase the top line of ........

Marchand/McDavid/Bergeron

(McD instead of Crosby - because when Crosby centred those 2, that line was responsible for winning the World Cup!!!!
