Am I voting based on true value in the NHL or just the Bruins situation?

I believe the Bruins finally offer will be 6.5 for 6 or 7 years. If he doesn't like it. Bruins will offer 4.25 for two years., or 5 m for 3 years. No offer sheets, what choice does Pasta have.

The Euro leagues might pay 1m. Yes KHL is an option but it's pays rubles, and he would have to make at least 3m in rubles to make viable.

It should be 8 years for sure, around 7 mill. He was nearly a PPG and is only getting better. Boston has no choice but to lock this guy up, pay the man. He's worth it

That's why I put both options, you have to choose one..... $6.5 for 6 years or 7?

But that's why I think it will come in at $6.5M for 6 or 7 years. The Bruins hold the cards here. But they like him and he likes being in Boston so they will meet halfway and Pasta will decide if he wants a shorter term (6 years rather than 7)

For 1 year's production. Marchand played 8 seasons with great progression every year and just signed for just over $6M last year.....and he had more points than Pasta.

Lets be honest hear Paul, Marchand took a nice pay cut to stay in boston. Me and you both know hes worth more than his current contract.

Right, and Pasta likes it there and management and the players all like Pasta!! So he should just sign the damn $6M for 6 years and then get paid huge when he is 27 and they have won another cup (sometime in the next 4 years)

Marchand never took a pay "cut", he just signed a hometown discount contract, why shouldn't Pasta when he loves it there and everybody loves him??

i personally just dont think the 6m is enough to buy 2 years of UFA. Im leaning more towards 6.5-7. I just want him to damn sign so this can all be over!!

Agreed! I voted $6.5M for 7 years. But there's only 1 vote for that, so you didn't vote? LOL
