Oilers sign there picking moving RHD + solidifying the goal tending

Maroon will not get a deal 4 mill or higher literally anyone can play on McDavid off wing an be a successor ! I just don't think it would be smart to hand that kind of contract out.

Carlson takes a bit of a discount because he's sick of not winning and he knows the youth group in the oilers and the fact he will get top line minutes and power play time persuades him to come to the boys

Washington (just like us) will have a hard time keeping players oilers deal out 2 second round picks for grubs right and solidify there goal tending. If talbot wants to much he can walk grubs can be our starter

Send benning back to play for uncle Jim I still can't believe he didn't sign him. Benning would be playing top 4 (if they decide to move tanev for the right price) oilers get a very good forward in goldobin which Vancouver has a surplus of LW prospects

Reunite the strome brothers an bring in more youth to Arizona Ryan can play on Dylan right wing!

I seriously doubt we move or buy out Russell so guess we lose strome

    That 4m difference between Jarkrok and RHN makes it difficult trade IMO. If Nurse is good enough to be a second line Dman, will he settle for 2.75m? Maybe keep Benning and forget Carlsson.

    It would just be so nice to have a legit powerplay right handed d man. I think benning and bear can develop to that level but why not let bear develop a while and Carlson is already a top pairing d man. This would solidify our d man an benning could net us a good left wing in goldobin

    More like no chance Edmonton does that. The last time the Oilers traded for a young RD it cost them Taylor Hall. They certainly won't trade Matt Benning for a 22-year-old who hasn't made it to the NHL yet. What a joke.

    RD is the hardest position to fill in the NHL. Benning broke in at 22 and played well above average. Goldobin will be 22 by the time the season starts and hasn't been able to crack the easiest position of all - LW. He's expected to play in the AHL this year, too.

    Do you seriously think a 23-year-old top-4 RD is equal value to a 22-year-old AHL winger?? I knew that Benning is undervalued on this board, but I didn't know that it was this bad!
